The Blue Scapular is worn by members of the Confraternity of the Immaculate Conception. When the faithful discern to join this Confraternity, a rite of acceptance is performed whereby they are invested with the Blue Scapular. Since the Blue Scapular is a sacramental of the Church, receiving it is connected with this special ceremony that emphasizes the Scapular's significance, the obliga- tions ensuing from its acceptance, and the graces enjoyed by those who wear it. The faithful may also wish to receive the Blue Scapular without joining the Confraternity, needing only to follow several directives.

Fr. Wallack has received delegation to perform the Blue Scapular investiture ceremony, which will take place after the 12:30pm Mass on Sunday, December 8 and after the 7:00pm Mass on Monday, December 9.
